A Message From Congressman Rick Boucher

One Care of Southwest Virginia, Inc. strives to link people to the human and health services they need quickly and easily. The organization is working to implement a new system that will make it easier for the 154,000 citizens of Southwest Virginia who have no insurance or who are underinsured to get the services they need.

Using COSMOS, a new, integrated, web-based referral system, One Care will link social service agencies, both public and private, in the large, multi-county region of Virginia’s 9th Congressional district. With the help of One Care, citizens will be able to access information quickly and be free from completing multiple applications for services in multiple locations.

One Care, incorporated on August 19, 2003, is a not-for-profit organization. The organization is led by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by a growing number of local and regional partners. The Board of Directors bears the responsibility for implementation of One Care to ensure that it will serve the entire 9th Congressional District.

One Care focuses on the needs of the patient and not any one provider or program.
